We provide guidance and support at every stage of your remote working journey. Over 8 weeks, Grow Remote will partner with you through a blended learning environment, to bring some of the experiences, best practices, lessons learned, guidance, and advice around considerations for managing teams remotely. Learning from peers, gaining insights from experienced remote recruiters. This course blends the best of ‘self-paced’ online learning with live facilitated sessions and guest speakers.

What you will learn

MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION TO REMOTE WORKING

Introduction you to the concept of remote working, understanding how remote work differs from other modes of work.

MODULE 2: VIRTUAL COMMUNICATIONS

Introduction to the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies required to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally within your team as part of a remote team.

MODULE 3: CULTURE IN THE WORKPLACE

Understand what company culture is and why it’s important. Identify ways to investigate what the company culture is. Be able to list some of the ways remote teams influence a company’s culture.

MODULE 4: INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES & WORKING REMOTELY

Be able to recognise how self-awareness can help you become a successful remote worker, to demonstrate how to manage your energy levels when working remotely successfully, practice good time management, and identify and effectively manage stress.

MODULE 5: TRANSFERABLE SKILLS

Learn to identify existing transferable skills and how they are useful across different roles and business cases

MODULE 6: VIRTUAL HIRING

Be able to understand the virtual hiring process and identify the differences in career progression in a remote setting versus an office setting, and how to work with management to make your work visible and continue to develop your career as part of a remote team

MODULE 7: INTRODUCTION TO LINKEDIN

Learn how to set up and perfect your LinkedIn Profile for remote work to improve business networking

Earn a Digital Badge and Certificate

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded a digital badge and certificate of completion by Grow Remote.

This badge is unique and one of the very first digital badges acknowledge by the Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board (LOETB).
